A study in making a lidded box on the lathe. Made from big leaf maple harvested from a neighbors tree. Walnut accent piece on the lid gives an elegant look to a classic feeling box.
I really like the form this box took and will probably make more with adjustments. A good little discovery piece. The first of which can be yours.
Tung oil and carnauba wax finish.
