Flower Charm - Mallow Glyph - Figured Kanzan Cherry

Mallows are a large family of flowers which includes another of our charm offerings "Hibiscus" but the exemplar of the family commonly known as "Mallow", "High Mallow" , and "Cheeses..." was once a symbol of love, hardiness, and affection.

The heart shaped petals of the High Mallow made the perfect gift for giving a subtle message to one you adored. It was considered a cure all, and part of an essential healthy diet by the ancients, and while it may not have been such, it does have medicinal qualities.

The wood from this charm is from a downed limb from from one of our Kanzan Cherries out front. It was aged and dried in my shop before being cut into blanks for these charms. What better wood to use for a flower charm than a tree that blooms?
