Handmade Walnut Case and White Bronze Coin
Coin was designed and cast by the artist using the delft clay or fine sand casting method and then hand cut, shaped, and polished. White Bronze (approx 30-40% copper 60-70% Britannia (2% copper, 6% antimony, 92% tin).
Each coin is unique do to the casting and finishing methods. No two coins are alike and each has its own character.
The Day and Night both have their merits. How you read the flip of this coin is largely up to you. I would however suggest that the Sun is heads and the Moon is tails.
The Sun can mean energy and life, or fires and destruction. The Sun is unchanging. It can bring illumination or so bright it blinds.
The Moon can mean ebb and flow. It is constantly shifting and changing yet its face remains the same. It can bring light or leave you in the dark.
A Coin to remind oneself that in all the hustle and bustle of our busy lives the cycle of night and day remains both changing and unchanged.
Each box and stand is branded with artists makers mark.
The box and stand have a tung oil finish and beeswax polish
